I captured this image near my home in Johannesburg at a local bird sanctuary. These little ducks are as quick as lightning, I was lucky to nab him as he lifted off:)

A really pretty duck, and a great capture with the water droplets. Nice work, Chris!

Great timing on the wing stroke and that little glint of catchlight made the difference, good one there and congratulations.

I like the colours and patterns on the wing, very neat! I would eliminate the two droplets in front of the wing, but the rest of the water action is very nice. I'm wondering if a bit more room at top would be better, but I still like it as is :-)

Very nice light, and comp, the water drops are just a huge plus, the pose is nice but Ia wuld've liked it better if the bird had them all up or all the way down as the fully extended wings usually bring much more power and action to the image, still as it is, I love it! Big congratulaitons!

wow, great action and fantastic light. I wouldn´t touch a single bit of this file, I like a lot just the way you posted. The color of the "speculum" is fantastic and the pose too good to be true. Love the head, very well isolated from the BG and the aother parts of the birds and I like a lot the water drops around the feet. Another very fine job here Chris
