Another one from last thursday. This juvi thought it was a good idea to land on the adult's rock. Soon after it got kicked off! Taken in very late afternoon light. Hope you like it.

Beautiful lighting and excellent exposure. Really like the wing position and pose but find the bird to the left a tad distracting. If we could see the whole head and bill it would tell a little more of the story Would like to see more canvas on top as it is a bit tight. Overall a very lovely image and thanks for sharing Krijn.

Great light, details and BG. I agree that it would be even stronger if the bill of the gull on the left were visible.

Nice light, pose, and BG. I can't decide if the bird on the left adds or detracts from the image. Nice shot!

Sorry to say this....but please take it back to PS buddy...your white balance seems to be off a bit. Your red channel is too much to the right here. Too bad we both missed the split second before this moment (mine were slighly OOF) as more separation would have turned this into a winner.

    Thanks everyone for the comments!

Don't be sorry Jasper! Can't be perfect all the time ;) and it is better that somebody lets you know whenever that happens :D! I took it straight out of RAW and didn't do anything to levels with this one which would explain the peaking red channel......

I don't agree with you about the seperation though....to me this shot is interesting just because the adult is peeking at the camera from behind the landing juvi, to me that makes the shot.

    Thanks again.

Hey Krijntjo! I do agree the peeking does make it interesting....but obviously you haven't seen the frames before this one....where the bottom one has it's beak open WIDE and the other one is hanging above him like a major threat. Some awesome action we both missed....(you because of a full buffer and me because of an AF-error). Well...there's always a next time.
