Really nice composition. Nice detail in the feathers. The water droplets add to the action. How pink will this one turn?

Really great pose, Alexander. I like the light water / white bird combination.

You captured a great pose for this beautiful bird !

Wish for a bit of a head/body turn toward the viewer which would likely have also given you a nice catchlight.
Looks like it could also use a bit of CCW rotation.

The little turn as suggested by Mike would be nice but it is a spectacular image !!!! Big Congrats on this one !!!!

Great pose and exposure control. CCW has been mentioned and it is a bit tight in the frame for my taste.

Lovely interesting pose and superb feather detail, Alexander. We are getting more and more of your birds turning up here in the UK, birds ringed in Holland that is, and I suspect that it will not be long before they start breeding here - a very welcome addition. I have photographed one recently where it is possible to read the identification bands.

Nice pose captured Alexander! A bit too tight for my taste as I would have liked to see som space for the virtual legs. Unfortunately the sharpness seems to be on the wing instead of on the eye. I like the overcast light, which gave you some amazing feather detail.
