    Somewhat limited to duck and gull photography lately, here is a female Black Duck that I shot a couple of hours before sunset yesterday.

    Canon 30D 300mm L
    f 7.1,1/800, -2/3 ev ISO 250

    Dave, I like the shot you posted in the other forum better.But ya this is still a winner . The colors are great!

    Excellent low angle and direct look Wish there was more detail on the rear end of the duck, direct light would have taken care of that !!!! Wish I had that many ducks around !!!! :)

    It's a beautiful image but I do find myself wondering why you cut off the back part of the circle on the water surface? I think it would have really added a nice extra touch since it is such a deep blue.

    I wish I had some ducks around! Love A Blacks, and you have some great colors and BG here, super nice, love the low angle too.

    Agree with Alfred on the back part of he duck

    Beautiful colours. Maybe you could open up the blacks in PS. Wondering if it needs a little CW rotation.
    Great low angle too.

    Dave, a big congrats on this image. Its composed well, with sharp details and good color rendition. I like the color of the water. The head angle and eye contact is just right...good show...proud of you...:cool:
