Caught this young little male House Finch yesterday. I think the dead dried Cholla cactus used for a perch is too dark?

I think the perch is fine, Gina. You could always dodge a few of the darker areas down by the bird's feet but the pattern is lovely against the pattern of the bird feathers. Your image is nicely detailed throughout and you got a great pose from this little guy!
