Little Blue Heron

This Juvenile Blue Heron is probably one of the rarest birds ever found in Ireland. There have only been three other records on this side of the Atlantic. The other three were all from the Azores over the last twenty years. Over a thousand Birders visited it in one day with car loads coming over from England!!!

The story behind this shot is truly interesting, a bit more room on the bottom and less on top wolud've helped the composition, but just congratulaitons on such a rare catch!

This bird is the little Blue here in the states, correct, as opposed to the Great Blue Heron.
