A very interesting snail. Looks like algae is actually growing on the shell. I have shot a bunch of snails locally and still haven't decided if i like the majority of it in focus, or the antennae. It seems almost impossible to get both. I would prefer the extra twig/root to not be there but otherwise a great shot.

Very handsome snail! :) Excellent detail; the shell looks sharp. I do wish the tree provided a little better background. I'm not sure if it is the extra twig or the missing bark or what but something just seems a bit unsettling to me about the background.

    Hey AD,

How large was this? It looks XL! I like the positioning and the overall comp and looks sharp.

Only negative for me is the flash hot spots from the full power/bare flash heads.

Hey Ad, gret job on the snail, and agree with Robert on the hot spots on the body. One problem with the image is that the branch is not very appealing. These guys are not easy to shoot as their slow but always seem on the move.

Thanks for your comments. The snail shell is about two inches and the streching guy about 1 1/2 inches.
