    Comming through the area during migration. I would like to have had a bit more DOF and a little faster Tv.

    Terrific pose, Mark! I might not go with such a square crop, if there are other cropping options.

    I used to do ISO 400 on the 20D, in fact, you could go to ISO 500 and run noise reduction in the 30D without much problem. That would increase either of your variables or both.
    Very nice pose, I'd smooth the right side of the BG a little bit.

    I am with Neil about the square format, but other than that I like the pose and ghe blurred wing, the colours of the BG are great as the detail and light! Congratulations!

    I like it a lot as presented! Tac-sharp head and eye with a great BG. I don't know if you could have stopped down enough to get those tail feathers sharp. Have you thought about blurring the in-focus ones? It's a little distracting to have some of the tail feathers sharp and some not.
