    another one taken with OZ's IR camera. did my dodging and burning with color control points in capture nx and also converted to b&w.


    D70IR, 18-200 at 18mm, f/10, 1/250s, 0EV, ISO 500, handheld

    Very nice composition Harold.I like the palm leaves- if that's what they are on the lower right

    thanks OZ and denise. denise, i think those are some variety of caladium. believe it or not, they grow that big down here!!

    Wow. They are neat. I'd like to take a shot of just them sometime they are very interesting and appear to play off the light well.

    Nice one Harold. We really have to get you an IR camera! The Caladium in the front has an odd gray to it - I can't decide if I love it or not but it is interesting to look at!

    Harold,
    Really nice; lots of texture and interesting shapes, and the grouping of tones gives it a layered look. I think a LCE (USM with small amount, large radius, zero threshold) would bring out more detail in the mid-tones.

    Great photo. So much to keep the eye interested. Well balanced composition. I especially like the leaves in the foreground.
