Hey Paul,
This is way cool! Very different and super light. I tried a "browser" crop.........just below the darker reflection in the bright yellow.........this puts the dark grey areas on a diagonal........and emphasizes the gator more..........but I also like the original as presented very much. Either one works for me. Very nicely done!
Those golden colors really make this one an eye catcher. The body of the gator going under and some visible is different, that combining the rich colors adds depth, the higher angle looking down allows the viewer to "see what you saw". You have a very artistic eye Paul. I will have to look you up if and when I come down in February to shoot with James Shadle, hopefully, and Craig Carreno. I like your style. And you certainly have one all your own. It is nice not to be "just another pony in the stable".
Thanks everyone for the comments and kind words. I think I may try to concentrate on using the sunset light for things other then the big landscapes for a while.
This is what landscape is all about. Congratulations! This is one of your best shots landscape shots that I have seen. Fabulous light. I like this shot a lot.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi

I'll add my accolades for this wonderful image. It certainly is an unusual perspective and well done. The placement of the gator creates mystery and drama. The color of the water is just spectacular. Well done.
