    Default Fallow Deer

    Hi

I was out doing some deer photography a couple of days ago down in London. The main purpose of the trip was to capture some red deer in rut, although it seems that most of the antler clashing had already been done although there was still much bellowing and chasing going on. While photographing an almost pure white fallow deer stag this young one came speeding across with a bit of a spring in its step!

    Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens at ISO 400 F4.5 and 1/2000s.

    Cheers

Great capture. Love the mid-air action. I might try to tone down the highlights of the bellow just a little, otherwise very well done.

    Hi Rich,
Nice airborne capture! Wish for a slightly better hed angle.........and I would slighly tone down some of the tree trunks in the BG.........especially above the deers back. Placement in the frame and action are super!

Paul and Roman capture my thoughts.

Great work getting this action as that is not easy to do.

Thanks for the replies. All the suggestions raised I couldn't agree with more. It was the action that caught my attention with the image and it was the only deer all day that went into flight :)

    Cheers

    Rich
