    This is a BC skimmer shot at last light .It came up into the light and I was trying out the higher iso with the d300 ,something I have not done a lot of. I was very happy with the shot.I never shot over 400 before

    D300 500mm 6.3 1/1600 at 1000 iso auto wb tri pod

    I like the angle of capture Jeff the Skimmer looks sharp but the position of the bird in relationship to the light didn't help you in exposing the blacks their is no detail in them.....

    Good crop, flight pose and perspective, but I agree with Jim that the light angle wasn't ideal.
