I desaturated then added alittle color to the BG to give a fall look. I was going for a dark dank look , hope it works

Denise, I think it does work but the BG is a bit distracting. I'm wondering if you blurred it a bit more or played with it in liquify to soften and swirl it a bit if that wouldn't make it a little more pleasing to look at.

No, Denise...it just means you see something differently than I do, that's all. It's YOUR art...you do as you please. I only meant the comment to make sure that was your original vision and to push you forward if it wasn't!

Julie I appreciate your critique. I have a background design but I am fairly new to photography so I am still unsure of the rules of photography. It seems that BG should be cleaned up alot and I guess it takes some getting use to . I certainly appreciate your opinion and expertise so please don't hold back your critiques -I intend to learn from every comment you guys make even when it sounds like I'm fustrated.Once again thankyou for your patience.

i agree with jules a bit on this one. i'd burn the bg down a little and see if it doesnt put more emphasis on the shroom. nice compo, denise!

I actually like it as presented The image is cool I think the white is so strong its overpowering the bg Could smooth just a little I like it a lot !!! Finding a good angle for those things is somewhat difficult and like this one !!!!
