Denise, you doing so good with the images of the Cardinals you should call the Vatican, lol. I love the comp, although I have to admit I prefer the male color, it is a beautiful bird. I'll leave the tech stuff to those who know better than me. Good Job!!

Wow! Very nice image - sharp, good composition, and colors throughout the image work together. This is a keeper for sure.

Lovely bird!! The BG is perfect to show off the more 'muted' color of the female, nice and sharp as well. GOOD JOB!

The bit of stick that juts off to the left?? Might be tempted to get rid of it

    Lady Denise,
Well done...proud of you...:) I like the composition, capture and exposure. You have razor sharp details with very good color rendition. The bird has a very nice soft glow to him...excellent...I like the perch just the way it is. The dark blotch on the left hand corner of the frame does not bother me. The background; with its soft diffused pastel colors and hues is very pleasing and compliments your subject very well, it makes him stand out...good show. The eye is crystal clear...the head angle would be ideal if he was turned just a little CW rotation...but thats ok...I'm not sending you to jail...:D:p;):) You did good...

I like it a lot Denise Agree with comments and just the little shadow from the beak is detracting !!! Excellent feel and the strongest part is the fine eye contact !!! Big Congrats !!!

I like the composition and pose. The focus looks like it was on the chest instead of eye... Nice image

I like both but would give the second post my vote due to what I think is a better head angle. Well done.

Like the second post too Denise. The head looks completely in focus on this one. Might just be tempted to crop a little off the left side. Very nice.

Hi Denise, sharpened the eye and just changed the BG a bit. Just some ideas.

For me, the bird in the first image is more alive.
