I got this image at the Venice Rookery in March 2006.
I like to use my Sigma 400 for hand-held flight photographs.

    Hi Jakob,

Nice exposure and size in the frame, Would have preferred the full up or down wing beat and a slight heat turn your way.

Nice green lore, I guess mating season was on :)

Nice exposure control, Jakob. I agree with Fabs's suggestions and would add a bit space at the top.

    Hi Jakob,
nice image, can add that exposure looks spot on! Else agree with Fabs on the head angle.

Which version of the Sigma you're using? I read there are non-APO, APO, and APO-Macro versions with 72mm or 77mm filter thread. I'm currently thinking of getting me one used for flight shots.

It the APO Macro 77mm. It is a great lens and I love using it for flight photos. It was my main bird photo lens until I got the Nikon 500P F4.
