Well i have been admiring your Avian photography for some time , and i think it's time for me to better myself so ill start with this Heron i captured last week. Im open to all critique :)
Hi Glenn,
A very big welcome to our BPN family...:)
I like your composition very much, you have sharp details and very good color rendition. I like the background; it shows habitat. The subject is too centered in the frame; it needs to be off center to the right side. I took the liberty of making a few minor adjustments to your image. I started by cropping from the top and from the right section of the frame. I blurred the top layer of your background to bring more attention to the main subject, I opened up the eye just a tad, and sprinkled selective sharpening on the eye and area around it, also lightened the bird just a little, increased your saturation and contrast and selective sharpened the wings of the bird...see if you like it...
Hi Glenn and welcome. Nice first post. You will find lots of help and guidnce here as witnessed by Gus's informative critique. These folks have helped me a ton. :)
Thanks for the warm welcome guys :) Gus thanks for what you have done here , i will try to do the same in the future. Denise this was taken about 30 miles from were i live in Fort-Coulonge, i was down on all fours for this one . I was my first session with a new used lens (Sigma 170-500) that i got off of ebay. Again thank you all :)
It is our pleasure, to have you as a member of the family Glenn, You don't know what you got yourself in to...:p;):):D...anyway; looking forward to seeing more of your creations...:)
