I saw that common kestrel near the road and I was lucky, that it remained perched for few minutes, before it took off...

    C&C much appreciated

just a bit levels to darken the kestrel a little(which is your opinion, looks better to me)

I am not that keen on the pose to be honest nor the perch. I have a similar perch with an Aussie Kestrel and while a grabshot in itself, it is a bit bithersome as it seems to barely balance on it.

See my puny perch here: http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=16682

The post done by Manos has quite a bit more punch. Wonder if you got more images as I would love to see the wings in a different position. The eye contact is very good though. :)

I like the unusual pose, and the darkening helps. A bit more saturation would be good too.

I like this image very much - the pose, the lighting, the eye contact. The raised wings show off the breast feathers beautifully and along with the lightness of the perch give a fine delicacy to the image. In my opinion, the levels adjustment helps, bringing out the colour.
A lovely image - thanks for sharing.

Great pose. Agree that a contrast boost really helps the image. I would also increase saturation a bit.

Thank you for looking at may image and taking the time to reply.
Thank you Manos for working with my picture.
It looks much better with your adjustments. It is the same problem with me like always: not enough saturation. Looks as if my images look always a bit too flat and too "shy" to pop out....
