Primary image is good by itself, but the eyes in the BG are absolutely stunning.

Lovely shot, I wonder if you have done some selective sharpening or if it is the wide aperture alone that gives this effect. I get the impression that the ears should be a little sharper, but I think it is a lovely image.

    Hi Rosl,
In the wild??? At first I didn't like the eyes in the BG............but the more I looked at it.........since both eyes are there completely........the more I liked it and found it unusual.

I think what has been throwing me off here is the tree on the left. I have come back to this one at least 6 times. I absolutely love the two wolves. The eyes behind make this really stand out. The tree is distracting me some. Do you have some more of these two? I still like it however.

    Rosl,

I think the juxtaposition of the two wolves is great but agree with Grady on the tree. With some careful work and if you have other image with some BG to borrow from, you could remove it.

Nice work seeing and composing this image. The tree is a minor issue.

Thank you for commenting my image. It's funny, but I especially love the tree... I feel like the wolf (sorry, now I know, you spell it without "e" at the end...) uses the tree as a simple hide and i like the colors of wolf and tree, building a kind of harmony in my eyes.
But, sure I can understand you, seeing the tree disturbing the image or the overall feeling.
And I am happy that you like the eyes in the bg.

I have only this single image, then the wolfs walked away....

    Rosi,

Please do not mis-understand the tree. It is minor compared to the overall appearance. You still have a winner.

    Hi Grady,
don't worry.... it is always good to learn from different oppinions and it is great to get different points of view! So I am really happy to get your critique!

Rosl, I have to go with your feel of the tree being important - what it says to my is that yor are in ate Wolf's world. Great capture! Bob
