    My first Painted Bunting ever, taken at Okeeheelee Park with my Canon MK-2-N.

    ISO=1000 at f/8 and believe it or not 1/30th of a sec. at +0.3 EXP. COMP. and 500MM-L

    Hi Bill,

    Nice colors. I'm still waiting to get a good image of one of these little critters.

    If you have extra frame left over, I'd like to see the bird moved lower and left just a touch, but only if it can be done without crowding the tail too much.

    The BG looks a bit noisy but that can be taken care of pretty simply.

    Beautiful image. Great colors and head turn. I, too, have tried many times to get a clean image of one of these fast moving birds. I would darken the limb and the whites in the BG..

    Lovely pose and great color. It's not often these little speedsters sit still long enough for 1/30th of a sec! I think Joanna's idea of darkening the limb would be good for this image. Nice capture!

    Hi Bill. I find the perch big for the subject, and the BG noisy. Excellent shrpness for that shutter speed! I am envious that you get to photograph this species... :-)
