    Default Eurasian Wigeon



    I was thrilled to find this guy in some good light, but found the resulting image difficult to pp, the head never seems right to me, although when viewed larger it seems sharp enough. Anyway, here he is. :)
    1D MKIII 300/2.8 IS + 1.4 TC
    1/1600s f/4.5 at 420.0mm iso1250 -2/3 Handheld

    The details look good here. Great find, angle and exposure control. I might crop a bit off the top.

    A very pleasing image of this species. Its always a little treat to find one of these guys mixed in with the American's.

    Yes, it is the head feathers that for some reason look unreal to me, although as I said, the image looks sharp in a larger version.
    I'll pop the full size image off to you, would love to see how you process it.
