    Default Kitty In the Sanctuary

While shooting at the Spanish Monastery today, this kitty started walking the halls. Grabbed my IR Camera (as my 40d was on a pod) and I popped a few pics. It was slightly underexposed so I boosted the exposure and add a Kodak Tri-X filter from one of my Plug Ins and Viola.

Michael, I love the sanctuary in this one...the IR really pops all the nooks and crannies and there is just a huge amount of texture here. The only thing I think could be improved on would be to add more dark pupil area to the cats' eyes. They look a bit on the "Stephen King" side and I think a little additional dark area in the center would make him look much more realistic and less "Pet Cemetery!"

    Hi Michael,
I echo Jules' comments - the sanctuary does look stunning and the cat is a killer touch apart from those eyes - they are a little scary!!

With Halloween coming up, maybe the scary eyes should stay ;-)

    Michael,
Ditto on all the previous kudos.

I think I'd like to see what you can do in the "scary" direction, if you want to spend the time.:D

In the more "serious art" direction, I'm inclined (;)) to straighten the columns on the right, and the left side of the door frame.
