    Default Black Throated Blue Warbler, Passing Through

    We don't see these birds much here in south Florida, but one pays us a visit every year about this time. Perhaps it's the same one. :)

    I caught it looking up and I thought this pose gave it the most personality of my various shots.

    Canon EOS-40D, 100-400 zoom @ 400mm, f/7.1. 1/400 sec, ISO 400. Lots o' fours and zeros there!

    Edit: Renamed thread title to "Black Throated Blue Warbler" as I had missed the ID.

    HI Noel,

    I know warblers are not an easy subject to photograph specially at this high angles You did well keeping the bird sharp but there are a lot of distractions, taking away from your main subject.

    Are you going to the GTG?

    Keep trying!

    I agree with Maxis that you did well in capturing a warbler. Not to be a nick picker but you should know that this is a Black Throated Blue Warbler....

    Congratulations on capturing this little beauty Noel. They are definitely a challenge but you did well. I agree with the above comments . Thanks for sharing.
