    They can make some noise Mike !!!! Love the pose and behavior With these guys I have tried focusing further into the face and stopping down in order to have the eyes in focus !!! Not always successful !!! I like it a lot Mike !!!

    Mike,

    Saw this this morning but just getting back to posting. I know you are up against the wall on exposure, but stopping down to maximize DOF and get the eyes sharper is the way to go. Pose works very well.

    I think this requires at least f8. Tough exposure. I love his football. :-) Nice behaviour.

    Hey Michael,
    I'll let you in on a little secret....we usually sharpen the eyes selectively/ more in animals. I took your image into PS..........and selectivey fixed/sharpened the eyes. Definitely helped..........and with a little more work........you can get them to be tack sharp. Yes more DOF would have helped..........but the exression, exposure and comp........make this worth trying to improve.
    PS I did a litle BG cleanup also.

    PPS...........I should have done more on the right eye...........but you get the idea.

    fix looks good Roman. Big improvement. That's the problem at the Zoo, trying to get a sufficient OOF background v. DOF .... there are buildings behind the tree so it was a challenge.

    I should have suggested the eye sharpening. I do it all the time.

    Great improvement! Love the open mouth and the eyes. You can almost hear him!
