    Young dippers stand out in the middle of raging water and wait to be fed by the adults. There were two young on different rocks and they kept the parents busy. The adults dive into the white water and come up downstream with grub. Taken with Canon 20D, 100-400 lens hand held.

    I like the pose - classic begging behavior. The exposure on the bird looks good except for a few hot spots on the leg. The very bright areas in the background (especially at the top) really draw my eye away from the bird. You might crop from the top to remove some of this brightest area and consider some cloning or quick-masking to remove the rest of it. :)

    Tons of character on this guy!! I like Steve's critique...pretty much my thoughts too. I would also add that fill-flash would have been nice here - the face area and flanks would have benefitted.

    Agree with the comments above, but I also as therm like this shot, really nice comp and timing! Congratulaitons!
