    I went to a local birding spot this morning and had this great little duck pose for several photos, lighting was bad but colors came out ok....he was very alert but kept coming by...

    Sweet capture, Stve. It looks a little flat on my oniot, maybe increasing the exp a notch and adding contrast will give that extra punch.

    This is a nice bird. As you mentioned, the lighting is not great but you still managed to get a good pose. Using fill-flash would have brightened the head and added a catchlight, increasing eye contact. Although I don't know if it was possible here, I think this image would have benefitted by a lower camera to subject angle.

    Made changes as suggested..what do you think?...Thank You, Fabs. Joel...merci..would have liked to get lower but was crouching on boardwalk, was about as low as I could get...lol..without getting wet ...Paul

    Hey Paul, nice drake you got here. I only managed to photograph females so far...the males were way too wary when I was there (if this is the same location). The repost looks much better.
