And what a post it is! I love the colors you captured here, both on the bird and the BG. I'm wondering if your image would even been better if you would have had a different angle on the bird and the perch.
    Welcome to the forum!

Beautiful image, Ken! You got a nice BG and good detail in the feathers. A head-on image would have been even better but this is really delightful as is.

Welcome, Ken! This is a great site and you will be able to learn a great deal here from fabulous people!
Ahhh, wonderful color and detail in the feathers and great out of focus background. It looks like your point of focus might have been on the body instead of the face/eye. Can you try to selectively sharpen or contrast the eye some more? On my monitor the white below the chin looks overexposed. But that could be my monitor too.

great image of a bird which i hear is difficult to capture. I am looking forward to seeing more of your images.

    Hi Ken,
A big welcome to the BPN family.
I like your composition. You have excellent color rendition with very sharp details; head angle and eye contact are good. I like the berch and the background pale geen color. Suggestion; I would diffuse the white zig zag band on the right hand side of the frame, its catching my eye and this takes the attention away from your bird.

Gorgeous BG - Agree with Gus on the white ZigZag.

Looking forward to seeing more _ Congrats.
