    Purple Gallinules manage to venture out with big feet on long stems to get their fix of Fireflag.
    500mm lens, ISO 400, f/4, 1/1250 hand-held.

    Love those feet! Nice pose. head angle and framing...I especially like the single displaced feather. The perch adds interest and the water color is lovely. Tack sharp. Although the bird is sidelit, the light is so soft that the shadowing is fine. Very nice capture.

    Nice one Susan. Love those feet!! I'd like more room above, and some additional USM on the eye area would be good too. Love the upswept perch :-)

    Beautiful light and colors, Susan. The one out-of-place feather adds character to the image. Another vote for more room at the top.

    Beautiful colours and balanced composition - although I, also, would prefer just a little more space above the bird. The lovely soft side lighting has given a nice three dimensional feel to the subject.
