The Lion of Ft. Desoto - Reddish Egret - Ft. Desoto Park

This guys was famous back in early 2007. Some of us got better images than others but this guy was well photographed. I only saw him this one time. I was determined to get an image, so I put my tripod in 3 feet of water for this image.

This image will be in display at my Everglades National Park photo exhibit next month. You have to see the colors in the print.!! They are amazing!!

    Hope you like it!

    Canon 30D, 400mm L @ f/8. 1/1000 sec, ISO 200, RAW, Tripod, Almost full frame.

    Thanks!

Bird is in splendid plumage. It's a fine image; good resolution and clarity; good low angle. Do you send your images out for printing service? Did you do some work on the BG?

    Hi Mark,

No. I do my own printing.

I removed a branch from behind the bird but it was minimal.

    Thank you for your words!

    Hi Melvin,

This image was taken in March, 2007. Here is everything you need to know about the exhibit.

Great pose, and colors, BG works very well, the light seems harsh but not bad at all, congratulations and best of luck with the Exhibit!
