    I find these birds to be very drab looking but when they are flying its another story.
    They have such a pretty wing pattern and I was happy to capture this one at that perfect moment.....

    Couldn't agree with you more Jim. Super sharp with great eye contact and topside wing detail.

    It is very difficult to capture a willet in flight, especially a wonderful pose like this one. Great head angle, beautiful sharp detail and good framing. This image is really lovely.

    This guys are so hard to capture in flight! I would remove some of the noise in the BG but that's about it for me.

    Couldn't agree more. Wading they can be a temptation to pass up. But once the wings come open...I think this image pretty well tells all. Good image; nice clarity, colour rendition good; caught in perfect angle. Well done.

    Perfect wing position and sharpness, and all against a nice interesting, varied complimentary BG. A great capture of an often overlooked bird.
