    The fall birds are starting to arrive now. Caught this guy perched on a stump near my feeder. I'm going to try and get them to perch on something a bit more photogenic, but they don't seem to like to leave the ground.

    Taken from a blind.

    400D, 100-400 IS at 285mm
    1/160, f/5.6, ISO 400
    About 90% of full frame.

    I like it, althought I agree about just a bitm ore sharpnening an maybe a bit more saturation, I would also try to lighten the dark areas in the BG, still as it is, it looks very nice! Congratua;litons!

    Hi Aidan. In addition to a bit more sharpening, I'd darken the light area just in front of the bird's head. I'd also like to see a little more room at the top of the frame.
