    Default Sharp-tailed sparrow

Here is a Sharp-tailed sparrow, they are tough to get in the open (at least around here). I used the Canon 500mm and 1.4x handheld

Love the splits pose and the head turn is great. Nice sharp detail and good light. I only wish the one stem were not crossing in front of the left leg, but I still really like your image. Great capture of a difficult bird.

Great find and neat pose. I only wish for more eye contact and the OOF blade of grass Linda mentioned were not there.

My thoughts are the same as Linda's. Focus seems to have been on the back - additional USM on the face would be good. Axel, the bird is looking at the camera...not sure what you mean by more eye contact?

Very unique pose and I agree obout the OOF stem. Great composition and timing on this one Rob.
