This is another of many duck species that can be found here in SoCal. I love flight photography which is always a challenge
    but can be very rewarding.:)

James, this one is outstanding, the pose, the BG and light as well as exposure (except for some minor hot whites) are simply superb! I just love it! Big congratulaitons1

Tell me they're going to be there while I'm in So. Cal. Jim. Nice capture! Composition, BG, and wing position are all good. I'd like a little additional sharpening of the head.

Gorgeous bird and a great capture. Agree with Doug regarding sharpening of the head, especially the eye.

Sharpening aside, this is to die for, the BG is spectacular and so are the pose and colors.

Could be sharper but I have to agree with Fab, not an easy subject!

Great setting. Looks like it could use a bit more USM?

You are posting some lovely duck images, and this one is really great. Wonderful flight pose, bg, and framing. Head sharpening mentioned.

No these and pretty much all the duck species won't be here until the beginning of November......

The wetlands is still in a transition period I went out to Bolsa this morning and saw some Pelicans, Eared Grebe, Forsters Tern
Cormorants and Egrets. Hopefully things will pick up when you get here....;)
