what fine feather detail! and great sharpness. not only do you have a nice reflection, but you can still see those feet!

Did you do some selective adjusting on the bird?

    very eye catching image!

    Hi Cheryl
Thank you for your comments. I did work on the eye a bit using Robert O'Toole's Quick masking technique but, I did no major processing of the bird. I ran curves, boosted the blacks a couple of points, and darken the bill a little. Other than that, I sharpened after resizing for the web. If this didn't answer your question just holler and I will try again.

    Thanks Much!
    Phil

Great sharpness. pose and colours. I'd be curious to know your Exposure Compensation, and how you got such great reds.

You have excellent details and composition. Also the placement in the frame is very good.

Hi Phil - nice looking bird - exposure and composition are good. Well done

Personal opinion here - I find the diagonal line of the bank to be a little distracting - nothing you could do about it.

    Hi Phil,
Beautiful bird and great colours - I too find the line behind the bird a little distracting.
