    Semipalmated Plover. One of many on the mud flats/tidal pool on North Beach at Sandy Hook (NJ). Image made this morning. I like the "over the shoulder" pose.

    1/800 sec @ f/8; ISO 400; +2/3 EV

    Sweet pose and exposure, it could use a bit of cropping on top. Some will wish for the feet to be visible, you being a bit higher would have shown them.

    The shell to the right is a bit distracting.

    Sharpness and exposure are very good, as is the pose. Agree with Fabs about the crop. I'd clean up the sand a little (some of the FG shells and the yellowish-green area under the tail feathers). Thanks for posting!

    Good exposure and I like the pose too. Good suggestions above. A very nice image Ed.
