Made during a Tony Sweet workshop in the Smokies two years ago, mid-morning on an overcast day. The leaf was on the rock originally, but a previous photographer had turned it over; this side was definitely more photogenic.
The only thing to say here is wonderful shot! (wait, there's more to say:) The lighting on the near rock with leaf is just enough highlight to pull us in to that subject, and there are great channels for the eye to go back and forth in this image.
I have to agree - this is really well done, Chris. You've got the water just at the spot of perfection and the leaf on the front rock...well, it rocks! Beautiful image all around.
Hey Chris,
I'll echo the coments above.......nicely done. There are 2 whitish spots at top of frame, large rock right........if so inclined......a small removal or burn would be the final touch.
Roman: Good catch! When I inspect the full-resolution image more carefully at 100%, there are several other little too-hot spots as well, all easily burned. Thanks!
