This past week we have all being trying to capture these beautiful little baby grebes but it is no easy task as they keep well hidden in the reeds and the few times that they have left their parents back to swim a little the lighting was not cooperative. This image was taken last evening as the sun was beginning to set. The light was golden and just perfect to photograph the babies but they just did not leave their security and venture into the open water. Although it was difficult to photograph them it is wiser that stay well protected as there is a resident alligator in the pond. Hopefully they will survive with the wonderful protection of the parents and perhaps next week I will have the opportunity to capture better images. Thanks for looking as it is a real treat to see these babies since this is the first documented nest in Florida.

Hi, Judy Lynn. I think you did a good job given the conditions you described, and on an ecologically interesting subject as well. Nice job on the exposure -- looks good.
