    Captured this image at Ding Darling last February.

    Canon 20D
    500mm f/4 with 1.4x TC
    1/1250 @ f/5.6
    ISO 100
    No Flash

    I chose this comp and crop to provide room for the Egret to move.

    I like it Keith; in particular the trail left in the water is nice. A slight head turn would take it from good to great. I might crop just a bit off the right.

    He looks very purposeful and I like the raised foot. Nice image!

    The only thing I would do is place the bird slightly less at left (not much). Agree for a slight head turn.

    I like the framing and the raised foot pose. He seems just about ready to start a run. I would tone down the saturation just a little.
