This white morph reddish egret was at Estero Lagoon in March this year. I had rotated this image based on the demarcation line separating the lighter and darker beach colors. The beach itself looks sloped to the right while the lines in the background tilt toward the left. I'm hoping they're not all distracting.

Excellent exposure Beth and I like the action you captured in this image. Could use a little CCW rotation. Many thanks for sharing this lovely capture with us.

Wow, you got pretty close to this one. The light is lovely. Nice detail in the neck feathers. My eye is a alittle drawn to the lower middle brown thing. I have never seen one of these before...maybe this winter.

I don't mind the slope at bottom, many beaches are naturally sloped ;-) The line behind the neck is straight, and if you are inclined to you could eliminated the top line (e.g. clone, or QM). I like the pose of the egret, the foot up is a good touch.

I have to agree with Judy regarding the CCW rotation. Love the behavior!!

Very nice pose and I like the ruffled feathers. I wish the bird had turned his head a bit toward you. Good exposure control. I like the shell at the bottom near the foot. I think i would be inclined to get rid of the lighter lines at the top. Nice capture.,
