There was a limb cutting off this Spoonbill's bill in the original image. I decided to have some fun with flood filter. BG too dark? AE, f5.6, ISO 2000, 1/4000, EC +1/3---obviously was not paying attention to my settings.

I like the mood and the darks. Just a little noise in the under part of the wing. Like the light coming across the feet and the head. Nice Kathy!

Kathy, extremely nice composition this way! I like the dark background which leaves enough details for some excitement. I find myself distracted by the grainy texture of the noise there, however. - Jerry -
