These birds are numerous in the mountains in India but a bit difficult to photograph as you mostly see them running in front of you on the road or scambling on hillsides. This guy posed for me long enough to get a couple of sharp shots.
I know the dark spot in the lower left is a bit distracting, but it's a bit too large for me to clone out.

All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

    Hi Satie,
Nice to see you here as well! Lovely shot of this beautiful bird! Love the perch, leg position and headturn. I would try how this looks without the black part in the LLC and the small green patch on the right of the bird, as they seem a bit distracting to my eye. Love the rest!

Welcome! I like it too. You could make a Quick Mask of the darker area and lighten it by pulling up the Curve (Control M). Nice COMP, EXP, and Sharpness.

I like the flow and position of the rock and relationship to the bird. It really is a nice comp. Excellent shot Satie.... such a beautiful bird.

Nice one, Satie. I like the curve of the rock he's standing on!

I know exactly what you are saying. This is one tough bird to get. Great job on the opportunity.
