    Default California Thrasher

    Hi all,
Here's one from yesterday. Franklin Canyon Park, Los Angeles. For full disclosure, I used a bit of playback to coax this guy onto an open perch.

Sweet shot, Neil. I really like the setting here. Excellent detail and techs too. I would place the bird slightly higher and more to the right in the frame. But that's just personal. Great stuff.:)

Hmm... I'm not seeing a thumbnail of my image in the forum page. I'm new to this forum -- is there something I'm doing wrong that's preventing my image showing up w/ a thumbnail? Thanks :)

Cool bird. I like the patches of shadow on the twig. I could have liked a composition with the bird further up in the frame, but not more to the right. This would allow the leaves in the lower right to come into the picture more clearly, and I like how they sort of repeat the curved shape of the bird's bill.
