Just got back from Wyoming yesterday. The color in the Big Horn Mountains was just superb. I am wondering about the crop on this image? Took this a Nikon D700, the rest of the shooting info is below.

    Hi Wheeler,
I would go for a bit of a crop off the bottom only. You may then have to goand clean up some bushes on the bottom edge......as they would be cut in half with the crop. The colors seem a bit off to me........but it's late........and I am on my laptop.........so I'll wait for others to chime in on that. The composition had a nice layered flow to it and i like the roll of the hills and the interplay of color. Nicely done.

Roman- Thanks for your thoughts on this image. I think the color is correct as best as I can remember. I am reposting the image cropped as you suggested. What do you think? I like it. Thanks again.

I like the repost even better, Wheeler. It gives it a closer, more intimate look. I'm not going to chime in on the color because I'm at work (i.e. uncalibrated monitor) but the spot of orange in the sea of yellow leaves is nicely placed!

Jules- I would like to let you know that the sot of orange was put there by God and not by me and I agree with you that it is well placed. Thank you for your thoughts.

    Mac,

However the composition is yours and you chose were to place the orange in the frame. :)

    I like the recrop too.
