    Cardinal Singing - S.W Florida

    Hello there!

Here is one explosive Cardinal singing.... Reminds me of American Idol :D. I only wish the leaf was not touching the bottom of the frame but I like the star as BG.

    Hope you like it.

    Canon 30D, 400mm L @ f/8, 1/320 sec, ISO 200, Tripod, Full frame.

    Thanks!

    Qué belleza Maxis!
Yes, this is a wonderful image of an unknown bird to me, as you mention, the star-like bg works very good in this one as the bird pose and colors, very good job as always. I went to see your web page and wish you very good luck on your photo exhibit, your work is really outstanding.

Very cool pose, details and BG. The covered foot doesn't bother me at all.

Sweet colors and BG. Only wish for a little more direct eye contact, but that's pretty minor. Good stuff!

Excellent image, Maxis. Not just a technically good photograph but one which captures the real 'character' of the species - what a crest and beak!. The happy coincidence of light on the BG has added to the drama of the image, drawing even more attention to the bird - not that it needed it with that colour and beak!!! Personally the fact that the leaf frond just touches the bottom of the frame does not bother me, but I am sure with your Photoshop expertise you could add just a little of the BG below it.
