    Default GW Teal w/edit

This Green-winged Teal was photographed on Sunday in Boston. We learned a valuable tip for getting low to view your subject. Look out for dog feces!!!! Luckily it was not me that sat in it and I had a towel in my truck! I have never been able to get close to this skittish species so it was a great day, all things considered.

Great find, Taylor. I find the setting very busy and it would have been great to see the entire reflection. I'm wondering whether a tighter crop might help to accentuate the duck.

    Hi Taylor,

It always helps us when we know the f stop and shutter speed, whether you used a flash on hand held your camera.

Agree on the benefits of a tighter crop and maybe blur the water a little bit, since it seems sharper than the duck.

Yes, I think it is better. The BG is quite busy but it can be hard to persuade a duck to pose in a place with cleaner BG. :)
