A shot taken last spring as I love the Black-necked Stilts these birds as well as American Avocets do a dance
after mating. For anybody that hasn't seen or photographed this I highly recommend it as these beauties are
    site to see.......:)

I loe these birds, too. I have never seen this dance....really wonderful capture. IMO they aren't quite in focus.

I think they looks preety sharp, and the light and poses are great! Exposure looks very nice as colours but the BG is a bit ditracting to me, if it would've been a little more OOF it would've worked so much better, still, as it is, I like it VERY much!

    Hi James,
I respectfully dissagree with Ramon here. The BG is awesome IMHO and gives a lovely feel of the environment. Maybe if this were mine I would look if cloning in part of the denser reedbed into the rift within the reedbed left to the birds would make a difference. Love the behaviour, low angle, exposure, eye contact and lovely light captured! Well done.

James, This is one of your best IMHO. I love the color of the reeds and the water as a great backdrop for the Stilts. Great job on exposure control, low angle, and very sharp. Very well done once again.

This is a great image, I have many images of the Stilts Mating but not the after dance, wonderfully done.

Very pretty and touching image. I like how the individual outstretched wings make them appear as one.

The behaviorr of this couple of stilts put this one over the top. The exposur is excelent and the BG colors fantastic. Regarding the BG I would prefer a little nore OOF BG but keeping details of the habitat. Well done

This is simply gorgeous, Jim. I remember this image from an issue of Birding magazine last year.
