    Default Autumn flavor

I took the kids to the corn maze at a local apple orchard and was trying to come up with something that I could play with in PP, so that it looked like I was painting with light. So I picked out a corn husk and peeled it back a bit and here is the finished product after playing with it in Nik color effects and a "Dragonizer" filter.

    Nikon D300
    ISO 400 ~ F/5.6 ~ 1/60 sec

Great effect, Mike! It really adds to the ambience of the piece. I do find myself wanting to see what's going on in the BG...have you thought about lightening that up at all?

    Hi Julie,

have you thought about lightening that up at all?
Its just the green stems that the corn grows off of, I darkened it on purpose so as it wouldn't take away from the focal point of the image. ;)

I like it -- the light really brings it to life. I think darkening or blurring the BG would further enhance the photo.

It works for me too, I like the "glow" of the corn :)
