    Good comp it is but I think the light is to hard even if it is done with good exposure and many details..

    I agree with Johannes - the light looks quite harsh. Certainly bright enough to lower the ISO ;-) This House Sparrow is rather ratty-looking too. This image does project this species' personality well!

    You did well with the harsh light The blotchy BKGR is less than ideal. Are the seeds on the rock naturally occuring or is it bird food?

    I believe it's some seeds or nuts since the bird was eating them. They weren't mine; I just took advantage of the situation.

    The pile of whatever they are is distracting. With care, you can hide the seed in a crevice and still attract the birds.
