Here's one of my favorite species in full song. I had spent the previous morning searching for a good opportunity and no luck. I went back the following day and the very first bird I found just sat singing in full view right next to the road. Not a set up. Nothing was used to attract the bird. In bird photography, sometimes persistence pays off!
Great job of having patience to wait for the right moment. Beautiful capture, with warm light and neat BG.
I'd remove the little white distraction off the mid upper beak.
A lot of good elements in this image. Good resolution; even density of colour edge-to-edge. Composition is classsic, right down to the sarynx in full view. Only nit I might have is that there is just a little noise present in the BG.;) What was the ISO equivolent? Love this bird. :)
Excelent image Mathew, love the fantastic pose of the bird with the beak opened and the nice eye contact. The light is too good to be true and the BG excelent. Very sharp and very good composition. Love it!
