A shot taken last weekend I kinda liked the pose this Brown Pelican gave me. If I'm not mistaken this is
a Juvie that is transitioning into adult plumage.

Really different pose. I like the color and the detail. Maybe I am a bit traditional, but I wish there were more room on the right to avoid the centered appearance.

Pretty nice, good look-back head angle. As mentioned by Ed a bit more romm at right would not hurt, and I would fix the double catchlight (leaving only the top one).

    HI James,

Agree with Daniel, again, you even caught the double catchlights...

Wonderful angle, pose, and light captured here James. Perfect exposure and tack sharp, very well done.

I like this, great pose, look back, light and details. I might be tempted to remove one of the catchlights.

Love the look-back pose of this pelican Jim! Great light too. I'm with the others about the second catchlight, although I suspect it's not due to a flash.

Hi, I'm a fellow Californian (Long Beach). We may have passed each other, get out to Bolsa Chica on week ends. Good image. And yes, it is a juvenile. Good clarity and resolution.
