    Default Juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper

Having made a trip to Churchill, Manitoba this year to photograph North American waders (shorebirds) this beautiful juvenile turned up in a muddy puddle in a coastal field 10 miles from where I live in the UK! It could have come from either America or Siberia. Incidentally this was one of the few sunny days we have had here recently and the blue reflections of the sky has certainly romanticised the muddy puddle:)

Wonderful image and excellent exposure, detail and low angle. Clean BG and a very pleasing composition. The eye contact, reflection and the ripples put this over the top for me. Many thanks for sharing Melvin.

Pleasing composition with reflection and gotta love the worm. The background looks a little noisy on my screen, and I think a slight CW rotation would level out the ripple pool. Overall, this is a slam-dunk, so keep 'em coming, Melvin.

    Well done Melvin,
I like the soft colors of the background, razor sharp details on your bird, with good color rendition...good show...

Great timing, details and angle. I agree regarding some CW rotation.

Thank you all very much for your comments, they are very much appreciated. I have no idea how the bird got here in the UK but I am afraid there is little chance of it making it back home.
